Weirdly enough it reminds me of the serene ambient output of the band Emeralds, though noticeably starker in tone. The result is a strangely peaceful (dare I say familiar) feeling of quiet dread and homely nihilism. Deathbed Tapes may have harsher and superficially extreme output, but I'd be willing to bet few other releases are as atmospheric as this one. Don't overlook Rubber Nurse! Ben Harris
